Get Connected: Setting Up Your Lift Mate with WiFi in Minutes
If you’ve just unpacked your new Lift Mate and you’re ready to take your boat lift control to the next level, the first step is connecting it to your WiFi network. Whether you want to control it locally via Bluetooth or access it remotely from anywhere in the world, we’ve made the setup process quick and easy.
Here’s how to connect your Lift Mate to the internet in just a few steps:

Step 1: Prep Your Smartphone
Start by making sure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network you’d like Lift Mate to use. This is crucial for ensuring a smooth setup process.
Then, open the Lift Mate app and tap on the Settings icon.
Step 2: Access WiFi Settings
Next, tap on the Wi-Fi icon in the app.
This will prompt the app to begin scanning for available WiFi networks nearby.
Step 3: Scan and Select Your Network
Once the scan is complete, you’ll see a list of available networks. Simply select the one you want your Lift Mate to connect to.
Make sure you have the correct WiFi password ready—most connection issues are due to incorrect passwords.
Step 4: Choose Your Access Type
You’ll be asked whether you'd like to enable internet access:
No: Use Lift Mate only on your local network (no data leaves your home or dock).
Yes: Access and monitor your boat lift from anywhere in the world using the internet.
Choose the option that fits your needs.
Step 5: Wait for Connection
The app will now attempt to connect Lift Mate to your selected network. This usually takes just a few seconds.
If the connection is successful, you’ll see the IP address of your Lift Mate on the screen.
If there’s an error, double-check your WiFi password and try again.

Once connected, Lift Mate can be controlled via Bluetooth, WiFi, or the internet—depending on your setup preferences. Whether you’re standing on the dock or traveling across the country, managing your boat lift has never been easier.
